PATENT OFFICE & A. Hamilton Company,
Pennsylvania a corporation of Application January 9, 1937, Serial No. 66,985
Term of patent 14 years 9'0 all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, John H. Meier, a citizen of the United States, residing in Pittsburgh, in the county of Allegheny and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Glass Milk Bottle, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing forming part thereof.
In the drawing:
Fig. I is a side elevation of a glass milk bottle showing my new design; and Fig. II is a view of the glass milk bottle taken partially in plan and partially in horizontal section in the plane of the section line IIII of Fig. I.
My new design consists in the blended provision of a novel capital of ornamental appearance in a glass bottle which otherwise follows the standardized contouring of the conventional milk bottle.
The capital of the milk bottle, as shown in the drawing, is of a diameter greater than that of the adjacent neck region of the bottle and has a peripheral surface which inclines downwardly toward the vertical axis of the bottle. On this capital there is a continuous inset fluting, extended around the inclined periphery of the capital, and terminated below the upward extremity of the capital.
The ornamental design for a glass milk bottle, substantially as shown and described.
JOHN. H. MEIER.
