DESIGN FOR STICK-CANDY.
Specification forming part of Design No. 11,17*.3, dated April 29, 1879 application filed September 18, 1878.

MILLS, of Philadelphia., in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a certain new an d usefulDesi gn forStick-Oan dy 5 and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the inven tion, such as will enable others skilled in the art to Which it pertains to make and use it, reference being had to the accompanying draw` ings, which form part of this speciiication, in Which- Figure 1 is an elevation, and Figs. 2 and 3 are, respectively, an end view and cross-section, of my design.
My design is plainly shown in said drawings; and consists, as will be observed there in, of an elongated cylindrical figure, B, having angular spiral grooves cutin its periphery or sides, so that an end View or cross-section will show a star, the ribs b in Fig. 1 or elevation having sharp edges b2, which said ribs in the other iigures form the points of the star.
In the twisted stick the inner angles formed at the base of the grooves appear, as well as the edges of the ribs.
What I claim as my invention is 1. The design for stickcandy herein shown and described, consisting of a cylindrical iig ure spirally grooved or luted, forming sharpedged ribs, appearing in plan and cross-section as a star, the sides of said ribs forming sharp angles on the edges of and between the ribs, the inner angles being exposed, as shown.
2. The design for stick-candy, consisting of a cylindrical 1i gure spirally grooved or uted, forming sharp-edged ribs and sharp-angled grooves, and having the shape, in cross-scction, of a six-pointed star, as shown and described.
