PATENT OFFICE DESIGN FOR A COMPOSITE SHOE SOLE OR ANALOGOUS ARTICLE Bertram H. MacLeod, Pembroke, Mass., assignor to Avon sole Company, Holbrook, Mass., a, corporation of Massachusetts To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, Bertram H. MacLeod, a citizen of the United States, residing at Pembroke, in the county of Plymouth and Commonwealth of Massachusetts, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Composite Shoe sole or Analogous Article, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof.

In the accompanying drawing,

Figure 1 is a bottom plan view of a composite shoe sole showing my new design; and

Application December 14, 1938, Serial No. 81,776

Term of patent 14 years Fig. 2 is a cross section on the line 2-2, Fig. 1.

The dominant feature of the design consists of the representation of coiled rope upon the tread face of the sole, the overall dimensions of the col being greater than both the length and Width of the sole with the eye of the coil located within the forepart portion of the sole.

I claim:

The ornamental design for a composite shoe sole or analogous article, substantially as shown and described.
