DESIGN FOR ENVELOPES.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 11,686, dated March 16, 1880.
Application filed January 23, 1880, Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HENRY (J. BAINBRIDGE, of the city of Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New York, have originated and produced a new and original Design for Envelopes, of which the following is a descrip tion, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure 1 represents a back view of an envelope of my design, showing it closed. Fig. 2 is a back view of the same, showing the sealflap open.
The distingnishin g characteristic of my design is, that the bottom flap, a, and the sealflap b, when both are closed, as shown in Fig.
, 1, have their edges a and b extending in par allel l nes liagonally across from side to side of the envelope, with an opening or space be- I claim- The design for an envelope in which the edges of the bottom flap and seal-flap extend diagonally across the envelope from side to side thereof in parallel lines, with an opening or space between them, substantially as herein 0 shown and described.
