PATENT OFFICE DESIGN FOR A DECK 0F PLAYING CARDS Stanley Kermode, Christchurch, Hampshire, England Application September 5, 1939, Serial No. 87,056 In Great Britain September 20, 1938 Term of patent 14 years portion occupied by a letter of the alphabet or a symbol indicating that the card is a master card, and a portion occupied by the usual playing-card markings. The deck consists of fifty-five cards and has representations thereon for one set of hearts, clubs, diamonds and spades and three jokers. The backs of the cards are conventional.

The ornamental design for a deck of playing cards, as shown and described.
