DESIGN FOR KNIT FABRIC- SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 11,976, dated October 12, 1880.
Application filed July 1, 1880. Term of patent '1 years.
To all whom it may concern I Be it known that I, CHARLES E. BEAN, of Fall River, in the county of Bristol and State of Massachusetts. have invented a new Design for Knit Fabric, of which the following is a specification.
In the accompanying drawing a piece of my newly-designed knit larged scale.

A A is a thread enchainpd into loops B B in the ordinary manner,
feature of my design consists of loops and of a second through the loops of as in all knit fabrics. D is a second thread forming larger closed loops 0 and open loops E. A closed loop, 0, passes through every third loop, B, of a transverse row of loops, B, and a loop, B ofthe next transverse row of loops B passes through fabric is shown on an en the said loop 0, and so on, the closed loops 0 being connected by open loops E, as shown.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a knit fabric herein shown and described, the same consisting of a thread enchained into loops and of asecond thread formed into large open and closed loops, each one of the larger closed loops passing through one of the smaller loops in a transverse row at regular intervals, Whereas the loops of the next transverse row of the smaller loops pass through the larger, closed loops at regular intervals, the said large closed loops being con nected by large open loops.
