PATENT OFFICE DESIGN FOR A DECK 0F PLAYING CARDS Gottfried Nussgruber, Vienna, Germany Application July 13, 1940, Serial No. 93,615
Term of patent 14 years To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, Gottfried Nussgruber, a citizen of Germany, residing at 68 Neubaugasse, Vienna, Germany, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Deck of Playing Cards, of which the following is a specification, reference being bad to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
In the drawings, Fig. l is a view of the faces of the cards of the diamond suit, the three of spades, the four of hearts, and the five of clubs; and Fig. 2 is a View of the faces of the face cards of the spades, hearts and clubs suits and two jokers, all showing my new design. The cards of the spades, hearts and clubs suits, not shown in the drawings, are similar in design features to the other cards of similar suits, differing therefrom only in the numerals and numbers of pips appearing thereon. The design of the backs of the cards is conventional.
The ornamental design for a deck of playing cards, as shown and described.
