PATENT OFFICE DESIGN FOR A PENCIL David Kahn, Englewood, N. J., assignor to David Kahn, Inc., North Bergen, N. .L, a corporation of New Jersey To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, David Kahn, a citizen of the United States, residing at Englewood, in the county of Bergen and State of New Jersey, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Pencil, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof, wherein- Fig. 1 is a front elevational View of a pencil embodying my new design;

Fig. 2 is a side elevational view of the pencil; and

Fig. 3 is a top plan view on a large scale of the composite tip member.

The design of the pencil consists in the specific ensemble shown in the drawing, wherein the tip member is a composite member comprising a metal lower tip upon which rests a, non-metal plastic tip member having the particular contour and configuration shown, and contrasting in color with the color of the metal tip member, said pencil being provided with a metal band harmonizing with the metal tip member.
