UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE DESIGN FOR A WRITING INSTRUMENT Irving Shupack, Forest Hills, Long Island, N. Y. Application June 4, 1947, Serial No. 139,449

Term of patent 7 years To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, Irving Shupack, a citizen of the United States, residing at Forest Hills, Long Island, in the county of Queens and State of New York, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Writing Instrument, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof.

In the drawing:

Fig. 1 is a side elevational view of a writing instrument showing my new design;

Fig. 2 is a similar view showing the various parts separated and without the cap;

Fig. 3 is an end view of Fig. 2 looking in the direction of the arrows 3-3;

Fig. 4 is an end view of Fig. 1 looking in the direction of the arrows 4-4; and

Fig. 5 is a front elevational view of the cap showing the various parts separated.

I claim: The ornamental design for a writing instrument, as shown.
