UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.4
JAMES E. EVANS, OF CINCINNATI, OHIO.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No.` 15,453., dated` October 14, 1884.
Application filed May 26, 1884. Term of patent 3 years.
To /LZZ whom it may concern:
Be it known that` I, JAMES E. EVANS, of Cincinnati, in the county of Hamilton and `State of Ohio, have invent-ed a new Design iu 5 Voltaic-Battery Frames, of which the following is a specification.
The figure in the drawing shows a plan View of my design of a frame of a voltaio battery.
The leading feature in the said design isthe no horseshoe shape of the frame A, and its rims B and C,` having dovetail shapes bi and con the inside. This shape and configuration of the frame is very pleasing to the eye.
' I am aware that thehorseshoe shape is very :t5 common in articles of jewelry, in articles of i ornament, and in devices for ordinary household use, and I merely claim said shape in its special relation to Voltaiebattery frames.
Having thus described the shape and oonguratiou of this device, I claim- The design for a horseshoe-shaped frame, A, B, C, b, and c, as herein shown and described.
In testimony that I claim the foregoing'I have hereunto setn my hand, this 15th day ofI May, 1884, in the presence ot' witnesses.
