DESIGN FOR A HANDLE FOR POKERS OR LIKE IMPLEMENTS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 16,786, dated July 13, 1886.
Application filed April 2;, 1986. Serial No. 199,856. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom (It may concern:
of Everett, in the county of Middlesex and State of lilassuchusetts,a citizen of the United States, have inlvented a new and useful Improvement in Design for Handles to Pokers and other Like Implements, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying diam ings, forming a part. of this specification, in explaining its nature.
The nature of the design is best ascertained by reference to the drawings, in which Figure 1 is a side elevation of the handle, and Fig. 2 is a plan view thereof.
It is adapted especially as a. handle for a poker or other implement having a metal extension from one end.
The essential features of the design are the 20 smooth upper section, A, and. the corrugated lower section, B, formed to inolosethe space C.
| It will he seen that the upper section or part, Be it known thatI, EDWARD M. Gunmen, i
A, of the handle is smooth upon its uppersurface, and thaltit is somewhat rounded upon its edges, and that itturns at its end to unite with the lower section, B, nhich is formed to present a wavy outline;
The two sections A B unite and form the extension of the implement.
Having thus fully described my invention, I claim and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States A design for a handle for pokers or other like implements, having a section, A, with a smooth surface, and shaped substantially as shown, and the corrugated section B, substan tially as shown and described.
