UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE DECK 0F PLAYING CARDS Richard C. Carpenter Oak Park, 111. Application February 20, 1952, Serial No. 18,607

Term of patent 14 years (Cl. D34-13) To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, Richard C. Carpenter, a citizen of the United States, residing at Oak Park, in the county of Cook, and State of Illinois, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Deck of Playing Cards, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof, in which:

Figs. 1 to 16, inclusive, are face views representative of the cards in a deck of playing cards, showing my new design.

The characteristic features of my new design reside in the portions shown in full lines in the drawing and include also the constellation indicia. The cards are of no appreciable thickness, and the backs have a conventional appearance.

A complete'deck of cards consists of four suits of thirteen cards each, the backs of the cards being conventional.

I claim:

The ornamental design for a deck of playing cards, substantially as shown and described.

RICHARD C. CARPENTER.
