THOMAS RICHARDS, OF JERSEY CITY, NEW JERSEY.
DESIGN FOR A PEN AND PENCIL CASE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 18,410, dated June 26,1888.
Application filed Match 17, 1869, Serial No. 268,678. Term nfpalent 1 years.
To all whom, 1'6 may concern:
Be it known that I, THOMAS RICHARDS, a citizen of the United States, residing at Jersey City, Hudson county, New Jersey. have invented a certain new and useful Design for Pen and Pencil Cases, fully described and represented in the following specification and the accompanying drawings, forming a partof the same.
The design relates only to the exterior of the holder; and it consists in a series of alternate flutes and longitudinal surfaces, the whole forming an approximately round body. 'l'hc intermediate cylindrical surfaces are as wide as or wider than the flutes, sothat the cylindrical surfaces may form a positive contrast to the concave surfaces of the flutes.
In the annexed drawings, Figure 1 is an end view of a pencil-case embodying my design, and Fig. 2 is a side view of the same. The proportions are somewhat enlarged in the drawings to show the form distinctly.
THOM AS RICHARDS.
