United States Patent Ofiice Des. 188,631 Patented Aug. 16, 1960 DISPENSING CANISTER FOR TEA BAGS Oscar C. Gorenflo, New York, N.Y., assignor to McCormick & Company, Incorporated, Baltimore, Md., a corporation of Maryland Filed Sept. 25, 1959, Sel'. No. 57,682

Term of patent 14 years (Cl. D58-17) Figure 1 is a perspective view of a dispensing canister for tea bags with the dispensing doors in open position, showing my new design.

Figure 2 is a similar view with the doors closed; and

Figure 3 is a fragmentary elevation and sectional view taken through the upper closure or cap for the canister.

The characteristic features of my design for the dispensing canisterdisclosed reside in the configuration and shape of the closure for the up'per end of the canister, and the shape, position, and relative size of the pair of dispensing doors in the side wall of the canister, the doors being characterized by horizontal lower edges parallel to the base, vertical hinge and meeting edges, and upper edges disposed on a continuous, upwardly curved, arcuate line.

The rear wall of the dispensing canister embodying my design is substantially plain and is in the form of a continuation of the substantially cylindrical front wall shown in Figures 1 and 2.

The ornamental design for a dispensing canister for tea bags, as shown and described.
