Term of patent '7 years (Cl. =n4s-4 Fig. 1 is a top plan view of a portion of an expansible chain embodying my new design, with the links in contracted position;

Fig. 2 is a view similar to Fig. 1 but with the links in partially expanded position, portions of the conventional bottom links being visible between the top links and being shown in broken lines;

Figs. 3 and 4 are respectively an enlarged top plan view and a side elevational view, on an enlarged scale, of one of the links shown in Fig. 1;

Fig. 5 is a sectional view taken on line 5-5 of Fig. 3; and

Fig. 6 is a perspective view of one of the links.
