DESIGN FOR A BOTTLE.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, FRANCIS R. WARDLE, a. citizen of the United States of America. residing in the city, county, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Bottles, of which the following is a specification, reference beinghad to the accompanying drawing.
The feature which constitutes my invention consists in the shape of the bottles and the diagonally-fluted and smooth surfaces, as hereinafter explained, and as shown in the drawing, in which the figure shows the hotthe in side elevation.
The body A of the bottle is formed approximatclycylindrica], but slightly tapering from the upper part to the bottom on curved lines. The upper partof the body is contract-ed into a straight neck surmounted by a plain horizontal flange. The body hasdiagonal orspirnl fiulings b, which are rounded and extend from top to bottom of the body. The shoulder]; and neck D of the bottle are plain.
I claim-- The design for a bottle herein described and shown, consisting of the body A, slightly tapering downward from the top and fluted diagonally or spirally, with the plain shoulders and plain straight neck.
