DESIGN FOR A BOTTLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,582, dated August 20, 1895. Application filed July 13, 1895. Serial No. 555,931. Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, WILLIAM W. LOWREY, a citizen of the United States of America, and a resident of Staten Island, Richmond county, State of New York, have invented and pro duced a new and useful Design for a Glass Bottle, of which the following is a specification.
In the drawings, Figure 1 represents a front elevation of a glass bottle, showing my design. Fig. 2 represents a side elevation of Fig. 1. Fig. 3 represents a transverse section taken on the line 00 J. of Fig. 1.
The leading feature of my invention consists in a glass bottle having four convex planes forming the four sides thereof. Said planes extend vertically from the base on a straight line to about midway between the top and bottom of the bottle, then beginning with a long curve, the latter of which terminating in an abrupt or acute curve which joins the base of the tablet. The top of the latter connects with a cylindrical ring, from which arises the neck of the bottle in the usual way.
Similarlettersrct'ertosimilarpartsthrongh- I out the drawings, in which- A represents the convex planes, whose surfaces are formed by the straight portion b, joining, as it does, the long curve the latter of which terminates in the acute or abrupt curve D,which in turn joins the tablet l6, whose upper surface is also convex in shape.
\Vhat I claim is- The design for a glass bottle, substantially as shown and described.
In testimony that I claim the foregoing as my invention I have signed my name, in presence of two witnesses, this 10th day of July, 1895.
