Be it known that I, NATHANIEL B. ABBOTT, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State ,f New York, have invented a new and original Design for Bottle-Caps, of which the following is a specification.

The leading features of my design are the following: A cap having a pendent flange provided with a circumferential row of grooves extending in a direction from the top toward the bottom of the flange, an inwardly and downwardly inclined shoulder at the bottom of the flange, a circumferential row of indentations in said shoulder, an annular bead at the top of the flange, and a slight protuberance on the top of the cap.

A is the cap; B, the pendent flange; C, the grooves in the same; I), the inclined shoulder; E, the indentations in the same; F, the an nular head at the top of the flange, and G the slight protuberance on the top of the cap.

Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
