Be it. known that I, PETER CHA'IELAIN, of Boston, in the county of Suffolk and State of Massachusetts, have invented and produced a new and origins 1 Design for Gloves, of which the following is a speeifleation, referenee being had to the aeeonipanyingdrawing, which shows a glove embodying my design.
The leading feature of the design consists in a glove having an opcming or slit extending'at the side from the back edge of the glove along, the wrist portion and tern1inating' short of the hand portion, and two flaps extending along the wrist portion, one at each side of the said opening, the flaps projecting beyond the side edge of the hand portion and likewise terminating short of said hand portion.
The glove as shown has a hand portion A and a wrist portion 1 From the back edge B of the glove a slit or opening extends longitudinally ot' the wrist portion 1 at the side thereof to a point C at or near the end of the hand portion A, so that the intern] opening practically terminates short of the hand portion. The forward end of the slit at :is shown, is at the inner end of the side edgeA of the hand portion. At each side of the said slit or opening a. flap or I), respectively, extends along the wrist portion 13 and beyond the side edge A" of the hand portion A, the flaps likewise Inn-urinating at (.thnt is, short of the hand portion. The flaps I) and 1) carry the fasteners E and E, respeetively.
The design for a glove, substantially as hereinbefore described.
