HENRY D. PERRY, OF \VORCESTER, MASSACHUSETTS.
DESIGN FOR A CEREAL CUP.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 25,318, dated March 31, 1896. Application filed February '7, 1896. Serial No.578,445. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, HENRY D. PERKY, a zitizen of the United States, and a resident of Worcester, in the county of Worcester and State of Massachusetts, have invented a ceram new and useful Design for Edible Cups; md I do declare the following to be a full, :lear, and exact description of the invention, lllCll as will enable others skilled in the art vo which it appertaius to make and use the lame, reference being had to the accompanyng drawings, which form a part of this speciication.
Figure l of the drznvings is a perspective 'iew of cup. Fig. i is a central vertical secion through same.
This invention relates to a certain new and n-iginal design for edible cups, or cups comoscd of cereal products and used for purioscs of food; and it consists in the novel orni and configuration thereof, all as herenafter described and illustrated in the acompanying drawings.
The leading feature of the design consists n a cylindric cup having a large central cirulareavity, which is seen to extend to with- 1 a shortdistance of its lower end, and whose side walls and bottom present externally and internally a rough and fibrous interstitial ap pearance, showing superposed masses or lay ers of threads or filaments, which are so disposed that the threads or filaments of inner layers or portions are partially visible through the surface layers or portions, as shown in the drawings.
In viewing the cup the filaments or threads are seen to be disposed in comparatively regular concentric horizontal layers in the side walls thereof, while in the bot-tom they are more irregularly disposed. This feature is not, however, materially essential to the character of the design.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a cereal cup, substantially as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
