DESIGN FOR A PLATE.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 25,515, dated May 19, 1896.

Application filed April 15,1896. Serial No. 587,732- Term of patent 7 years.

Be it known that I, CHARLES EDWARD HAV- ILAND, a citizen of the United States, residing at the city of Limoges, in the Republic of i rance, have invented and produced a new and original Design fora Plate or other Article of a Table-Service, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof, and in which Figure 1 is a top view of a plate bearing my design, and Fig. 2 is a sectional view of a portion of same on the dotted line 2 2 of Fig. 1.

The leading feature of my design consists of the edge ornamentation along the rim of the plate or other article of a table-service,

substantially as shown in the accompanying drawings.

In the drawings, A designates the rim of the plate, whose outer edge bears the sealloped ornamental band B, within the outline and following theinner edge contour of wh ich is the scalloped scroll ornamentation C.

\Vhat I claim is- The design for a plate or other article, substantially as shown and described.
