DESIGN FOR A COMMUNlON-PLATE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 26,925, dated April 20, 1897.
Application filed arc 12,1897. Serial No. 627,254. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be itknown that I, JOSEPH 'l. HUMAN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Cincinnati, in the. county of Hamilton and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Communion or Saerw mental Plate; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, which form a part of this specification.
My invention comprises a design fora eo|nmunion or sacramental plate to be used by the Catholic clery in visiting the sick, the 4 special features of said design being shown The plate has a dished eonterA, surrounded by a rim ll, the extreme outer edge of which is usually milled, as at 0. Furthermore, this rim is ornamented with wreaths of oak leaves 1) and laurel leaves E, united together by a ribbon or bow F, and dimnetrieally opposite said ribbon is a cross G. In the dished center appear three initials I. ll. S."
I claim as my invention- The design fora com munion or sacramental plate, as herein shown and described.
