DESIGN FOR A DRAWING SUPPORT AND CARRIER.

Be it known that I, \VALTER ALLEN, acitizen of the United States, and a resident of the city of \Vashington, in the District of Columbia, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a I')rawing Support and Carrier, of which the following is a speci fication.
My invention relates to a design for adrawing-board support or carrier for the use of drattsmen, specifieation-writers, and examiners whereby one or more sheets of drawing may be readily and loosely secured thereto, copied, kept flat, and handled or carried, and corrections or changes noted thereon without theliability of the drawing sustain lug irreparable injury while it is in use.
The object of my invention is to provide a simple holder for the preservation of drawings while being copied, described, or examined, and thus avoid the disfigurement or mutilation of the same while in use, which has been the cause of much unnecessary and useless expense to inventors and their attorneys and also cause of delay in the prosecution of applications.
In order that my invention may be fully understood, I will proceed to describe it with reference to the accompanying drawings, in whichsign. Fig. 2 is a longitudinal section of the same.
As shown in the drawings, the leading or material feature of my design for a drawing support or carrier consists in a flat board or plate formed with a U -shaped or grooved lipping at a side thereof, having an inclined or beveled edge.
In the drawings I showa board or plate having a U-shaped or grooved lipping at one of its sides. At the side where the lipping is located the edge is inclined or beveled, thus providing a hearing or ilat footing when the support or carrieris set up for use. For-holding the article in elevated position it maybe readily placed against any convenient object.
Having thus described my invention, the following is whatI claim as new therein and desire to secure byllesign Letters Patent:
lhe design for a drawing support or carrier, substantially as herein shown and described.
