SAMUEL GRAHAM, OF BETHLEHEM, PENNSYLVANIA.
DESIGN FOR WOVEN FABRIC.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 27,231, dated June 15, 1897.
Application filed March 17, 1897. Serial No. 628,056. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, SAMUEL GRAHAM, a citien of the United States, residing at Bethlehem, in the county of Northampton and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and prod need a new and original Design for \Voven Fabrics, of which the following is a specification.
In the drawings, Figure l is a face view of a section of fabric embodying my design, and Fig. 2 is an enlarged view of a smaller portion of said fabric.
The design is formed by a series of heavy stripes or members A, each composed of two pairs of heavy threads (1', twisted back and forth, and a series of groups B, C, and D of threads running in a zigzag course transversely to the general direction of the threads (1.
The characteristic feature of the design consists in the shape and relative arrangement of the series of openings m, formed within the stripes A, and the second series of openings n 0, formed between the stripes A, thus giving the fabric a cellular appeal-an cc, as shown in the drawings.
\Vhat I claim is- The design for woven fabrics, substantially as illustrated and described.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
