GURDON PENDLETON, JR., OF CARBONDALE, PENNSYLVANIA, ASSIGNOR TO THE PENDLETON MANUFACTURING COMPANY, OF SAME PLACE.

DESIGN FOR A JAR.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design N0. 27,381, dated July 20, 1897.

Be it known that I, GURDON PENDLETON, J12, a citizen of the United States, residing in (jarbondale, county of Lackawanna, and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new and useful Design for a Package-Jar; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description. of the same.

Reference is to be had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part of this specification, which represents a package-jar embodying my novel design.

The leading feature of my design consists of a cylindrical body surrounded by milled or corrugated bands.

In the accompanying representation of my design the body A of the jar is supposed to be of glass, is cylindrical, and is surrounded at its top and bottom by integral and parallel bands B and C, respectively, raised slightly above the surface of the body and having a vertical milling or corrugations D.

E is a cover for the jar, which may be of any suitable design and forms no part of the design I now claim.

Having thus described the general character of my design and illustrated it by an example, I claim as my invention- The design for a package-jar substantially as herein shown and described.
