Be it known that I, PETER J. Guess, a subjeet of the Emperor of Germany, residing at Brooklyn, county of Kings, and State of New York, have invented and produced anew and original Design fora Bottle-Stopper Lever, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to levers, bails, and the like employed in bottle-stoppers; and it consists in the configuration of one of the levers employed in such structures.
In the drawings forming part of this specification, Figure l is a perspective view of the lever, and Fig. 2 is a front elevation.
The lever comprises a piece of metal, as wire, bent or otherwise conformed into a yoke shape, having the vertically-disposed side pieces 1 and circular top cross-piece 2.
At the free ends the lever is curved outwardly, as at 3, and then rei'ersely curved inwardly, as at 4, to form the reverse-curved eye 5, the eye lying in the same vertical plane as the inwardly-curved portion 3, the end of the Wire at the eye being oilset at right angles to the plane of the side pieces 1, as shown at U, the ends or extensions 6 thus formed extending inwardly toward each other and away from the side pieces 1, as clearly indicated in Fig. 2.
Having described my invention, I clai1n The design for a bottlestopper lover, or the like, substantially as herein shown and described.
