DESIGN FOR A BELT-HOOK.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,347, dated March 8, 1898. Application filed Nfivefllbflr 1397i s fll 59,3 4)- Tcrni of patent 7 years.
be it known that I, Mun 'l. Meant-1m, ul Syracuse, in the county of Onondaga, in the State of New York, have invented new and useful Improvements in a Design for Beltllooks, of which the following, taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, is a full, clear, and exact description.
Figure 1 is an isometrical elevation of the hook complete detached. Fig. 2 is an edge view thereof, these two views being deemed sufiieient to fully illustrate my design.
As shown in the drawings, the leading or material feature of my design consists in a belt-fastener having two hooks extending in the same vertical direction upon opposite sides of a body formed by doubling a piece of sheet metal upon itself, the said body terminating in said hooks, as shown, the eye being formed at the central point by doubling the stripof sheet metal, the whole forming a unitary design.
a is the strip of sheet metal, bent at d, forming the eye 0, said strip terminating in hooks a and 1).
Having described my invention, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent,
The design for a belthook, substantially as herein described and shown.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this llth day of October, 1897.
