DESI GN FOR A TEACHERS HOLDER FOR WRITING MATERIALS.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,416, dated March 29, 1898.

Application filed February 28, 189B. $erialNo. 672,100. Term of patent 14 years.

To aZZ whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, JENNIE AKIN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Pine Bluff, in the county of Jefferson and State of Arkansas, have invented a new and original Design for a Teachers Holder for Writing Materials, of which the following is a specification.

This invention relates to a new and original design for a teachers holder for writing materials; and it has for its object to provide a design of this character that shall be both useful and ornamental.

The leading feature of the design resides in a rectangular tray having a flat bottom, double upright sides, each provided between the spaced walls thereof with a continuous rectangular series of open vertical boxes or compartments of a substantial square shape, and a central transverse partition extending upwardly from the flat bottom and provided at the upper edge thereof with a segmental handhold.

A minor feature of the design resides in the tray having therein separate rectangular boxes located, respectively, at opposite sides of the central transverse partition.

In the drawings, Figure 1 is a perspective View of a teachers holder forwriting materials embodying the herein-described design. Fig. 2 is a top plan view thereof.

Referring particularly to the drawings, the numeral 1 designates a rectangular tray having a flat rectangular bottom 2, from the edges of which project upwardly-extending double sides 3, each of which double sides has an inner and an outer wall 4 and 5, respectively, and in the space between these walls 4 and 5 are fitted a plurality of regularly-spaced vertical partition-strips 6, which form therebetween a continuous rectangular series of open vertical boxes or compartments '7 of a substantial square form.

At a central point within the tray is arranged a transverse partition-board 8, extending the full width of the interior of the tray and projecting upwardly from the flat bottom thereof, said transverse partition-board being provided at its upper edge with a segmental handhold 8.

The design is completed by arranging within the tray, in corners thereof, rectangularboxes 9 and 10, located, respectively, in the compartments at opposite sides of the central partition 8.

What I claim is The design for a teachers holder for writing materials, herein shown and described.
