DESIGN FOR A BOTTLE OR JAR.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, MARTIN E. GRIFFITH, a citizen of the United States of America, residing at Manor Station, in the county of W'estmoreland and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a certain new and original Design for Bottles, Jars, and Similar Vessels, of which the following is a specification, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawings.
This invention relates to a certain new and original design for bottles and jars.
The leading features of my design consist of acylindrical body portion contracting near its upper end, and having a flaring month.
In describing the invention in detail reference is had to the accompanying drawings, formingapart of this specification and wherein like letters of reference indicate similar parts throughout the several views,in which Figure 1 is a side elevation of my design for a jar. Fig. 2 is a similar view showing a. portion of the neck broken away.
The body of the bottle orjaigwhich has the shape or configuration as shown, has a neck I), which diverges from its base, forming the inclined face a. The inner face of the neck of the bottle or jar has a circumferential shoulder formed therein and extending from the upper edge of the inclined face to the top of the neck.
