DESIGN FOR A TONGUE-DEPRESSOR.
To all (LiLOIIL it nmy concern Be it known that I, AMOS SAWYER, a citizen of the United States, residing at IIillsborough, in the county of Montgomery and State of Illinois, have invented a new and original Design for a 'longneJJepressor, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a new and original design for a tongue-depressor; and it has for its object to provide a design of this character that shall be both useful and ornamental.
The leading feature of the design resides in a t0ngue-depressor having a longitudinally straight blade of a concave-convex shape in cross-section, with the concavity located at the upper side of the blade.
In the drawings, Figure l is a perspective view of a tongue-depressor embodying the herein-described design. Fig. 2 is a plan view of the blade. Fig. 3 is a detail section on the line 3 3 of Fig. 2.
Referring to the drawings, the numeral l. designates the straight handle of the depressor, having curved laterally therefrom at one end and at right angles thereto the blade 2. The blade 2 is longitudinally straightand flares in width toward its outer rounded end edge 3. The said blade 2 is of a concaveconvex shape in cross-section, and has the concavity thereof at its upper side.
What I claim is The design for a tongue-depressor, herein shown and described.
