UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
FERDINAND SCIIWEDTMANN, OF ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI.
DESIGN FOR A CONVERTER-BOX.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, FERDINAND SCHWEDT- MANN, acitizeu of the United States, residing at the city of St. Louis, in the State of Missouri, have invented and produced anew and original Design for a Converter-Box, of which the following is such a full, clear, and exact description as will enable any one skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part of this specification.
In the drawings, where my new and original design is shovvu and where like marks of reference refer to the same parts, Figure 1 is a front elevation. Fig. 2 is aside elevation, and Fig. 3 is a top plan view.
The leading features of my design are described below.
5 is the main part of the body of the box, and is substantially rectangular and has the corners slightly rounded. At the top of the .sides of the part 5 are projections 6, having their front corners considerably rounded.
7 are lugs which extend from the rear of the projections 6 to the rear of the part 5 and have their corners rounded. Carried by the lugs 7 are rods 8, to which may be attached unitable insulations, as 0, for the line-wires. On each of the projections 6 is a lug 10. Projectiug from the front face of the part 5 isasubst'an'tially rectangular portion 11, having its corners slightly rounded.
1:! are rounded lateral projections which extend from the top of the portion 11.
The lid consists of a portion 13, which is in the form of a rectangle, having the corners curved inwardly. The portion 13 is provided with a flange l-t. In the center of the portion 13 is a raised panel 15, which is connected with the said portion 13 by inclined faces 16. At each end of the portion 13 are lugs 17, through which eyebolts 18 pass into the lugs to 10 to hold the cover in position.
Having described myinveution, what I desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States is- The design foraconverter-box substantially as shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and aflixed my seal in the presence of the two subscribing witnesses.
