DESIGN FCR A FIRE-PLUG BOX.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 30,739, dated May 9, 1899.

Application filed April 14, 1899. Serial No. 713,057. Term of patent '7 years.

lSo it known that I, LACLEDE J. HOWARD, n citizen of the United States, residingat St. Louis, in the State of Missouri, have invented and produced a new and original Design ,for Fire-Plug Boxes, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the aecompanying drawings, forming part thereof.

Figure l is a top plan of a street-fire-plug box, showing,r my new design; Fig. 2, a side elevation thereof, and Fig. 3 a vertical seetion through the box on line 3 3 in Fig. l.

As shown in the drawings, the leading or material feature of my design consists in an eight-sided fire-plug box A, having its sides or walls 1 arranged together octagonally and inclined inward toward each other from the besef. upward, or, in other words, in the form of the frustuin of a pyramid, the butt-ing edges of the sides 1 being radial to the axis of the frustum and their top and bottom edges horizontal and flush with each other.

Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
