(Application filed may 12, 1899.)
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
DANIEL IIO\VE, ()l SALEM, NFAV HAMPSHIRE.
DESIGN FOR A HORSESHOE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 30,966, dated June 6, 1899.
TO (1.66 whom it may concern:
3e it known that I, DANIEL HOWE, a citizen of the United States, residing in Salem, in the county of Rockingham and State of New Hampshire, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Horseshoe, of which the following description, in connection with the accompanying drawings, is a specification, like letters on the drawings representing like parts.
lhe design relates to a horseshoe; and it consists in a horseshoe distinguished by its peculiar shape, as will be hereinafter set forth and claimed.
Figure 1 is a plan View of a horseshoe embodying my design; and Fig. 2, a section on the line 2 2, Fig. 1.
As shown in the drawings, the leading fea- Application filed May 12, 1899. Serial No. 716,591. Term of patent 14 years.
tnre of my design consists in the transverselyeurved form of the tread portion or surface it of the horseshoe, which curved portion is substantially semicircular in shape in crosssection, and at the central front portion of the shoe the inner portion of the curve merges into a fiat surface I).
The design for a horseshoe herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have signed my name to this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
