A plication filed June 10, 1899. Serial No. 720,092. Term of patent 14 years.

Be it known that I, EDMUND J. KELLY, a citizen of the United States, residing at New York, (Brooklyn,) in the county of Kings and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for'a Brush Body and Handle, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof, in which Figure 1 is a front elevation; Fig. 2, a side elevation, and Fig. 3 an end view.

As shown in the drawings, the leading or material features of my design consist of the curved tapering body and handle with an edge rib and convex surfaces.

In the design of the body portion the edges a a are curved and contracted, and the outlines of the edge ribs 7) I) follow the contour of the edges a a, and the surfaces 0 c are conveX and tapering to the union of the body and handle. The handle is largest transversely through the center in the two directions and in outline is contracted therefrom toward the respective ends. The outer end is rounded and the edges d d unite at the neck of the handle with the edges a a of the body portion. The surfaces 6 e of the handle are convex, and the edge ribs 1) b unite with the edge ribs of the body and extend around the handle. What I claim is The design for a brush body and handle, substantially as shown and described.
