DESIGN FOR A BUILDING-BLOCK.

SPECIFICATION forming part Of Design No. 33,317, dated October 2, 1900.

Application filed September 10, 1900. Serial No. 29,610. Term of patent 14 years.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, ERASTUS S. LAFFERTY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Galesburg, in the county of Knox and State of Illinois, have produced a new and original Design for a Building-Block, of which the following is a specification.

This invention relates to a design for a building-block; and the leading feature consists in the design forming the subject-mat ter of the accompanying illustration, and wherein-- Figure 1 is a perspective view of a building-block embodying the design. Fig. 2 is a central longitudinal vertical section of the same.

The design is characterized by opposite parallel sides which are straight and in planes at right angles to a flat top and bottom. The ends are formed with concavities 1, and two angular openings 2 are formed through the block and provided with rounded corners 3. The said openings are separated by a broadened intermediate web 4, extending transversely, and in the ends otheropenings 5 are located The concavities 1 are located between the corners and terminate at a distance inward from the latter to leave opposite straight faces 6.

Having thus described the invention, what is claimed as new is The design for a. bnilding-block, as herein shown and described.
