DESIGN FOR A CARAFE OR GLASS RECEPTACLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 33,987, dated January 29, 1901. Application filed December 29, 1900. Serial No. 21,539. Term of patent '7 years,
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JAMES D. BERGEN, of Meriden, in the State of Connecticut, have invented a new and original Design for a Carafe or Glass Receptacle, of which the following is a specification, reference being bad to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a side elevation of a carafe or glass receptacle embodying my new design, and Fig. 2 is a plan thereof.
My new shape or design is for what are known as squat carafes.
A is the neck of the carafe or receptacle. B is the arched top thereof, and O is the side of the body.
D is the bottom or base.
a designates the point where the arched top joins the side 0, and b is the termination of the inclined straight side at the bottom or base. I
The leading feature of my invention is the receding straight inclined side of the body 0 between the points a and b, forming the contour of an inverted truncated cone below the arched top B, in connection with the said arched top and the neck A.
lVhat I claim is- The design for a glass carafe or receptacle, substantially as herein described.
