DESIGN FOR A CLASP FOR PACKAGE-FASTENERS.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 34,263, dated March 26, 1901.

Application filed February 15, 1901. Serial No, 47,518. Term of patent 7 years.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, FRANK BAILEY, a citi- .zen of the United States, and a resident of New York, county of New York, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Clasp for Package-Fasteners, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof, in which- Figure 1 is a plan View, and Fig. 2 a side view, of my newly-designed fastening device.

lhe leading or material feature of my design consists of the form of clasp for a package-fastener, which is composed of strong spring-wire bent at one end to form a loop a and at the opposite end to form a spiral coil 1), in which the second coil 19 is higher than the bottom coil at one side and depressed at the opposite side substantially even with the bottom coil, as shown at b the side 19 of the second coil being closely adjacent to and fitting within the corresponding side of the bottom coil and the said second coil and bottom coil being connected between the side 17 of the second coil and the shank c of the fastening device by means of a clamp (1.

Having fully described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

The design for a clasp for package-fasteners, herein shown and described.
