DESIGN FOR A CAN OR JAR.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 35,069, dated September 10, 1901.
Application filed August 12, 1901- Serial No. 71,845. Term ofpatent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, WILLIAM A. LORENZ, a citizen of the United States, residing in Hart ford, in the county of Hartford and State of Connecticut, have invented a new and original Design for Cans or Jars, of which the following is a specification.
My design relates to the external contour of cans, jars, and similar receptacles.
In the drawings, in which similar numerals designate corresponding parts, Figure 1 is a top View, and Fig. 2 a side view, of a can or jar embodying my design.
The substantially cylindrical body 10 merges at its upper end, by means of the wide and slightly-inclined shoulder 11, into the comparatively short tapering zone 12, above which is the annular groove 13. That groove is approximately semicircular in cross-sec- WILLIAM A. LORENZ.
