DESIGN FOR A HANGING VASE.

Specieation forming part of Design No. 5,1'20, dated July 11, 1871.

To alL whom it may concern:

Be itknown that I, MARCUS LEONARD SNOW, of West Sterling, in the eounty Ot' \Voreester and State. ot' Massachusetts, have invented a new and original Design tor Hanging Vases; and I do hereby declare, thatA the following' is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, which will enable others skilled in the. art to make and use. the same, retirenee being' had to the accompanying drawing forming part of this specification, which drawingl represents a side view, partly in section, Of my new design.

This invention relates to a new ornamentation of a hanging vase or iiOwer-pot, and to a new configuration of the lower part of the saine.

It consists, first, in ornaluenting the side or surface of the vase A with foliage a in imitation Of forest-leaves, and with one or morel tinted borders, b. The invention also consists informing a concave tiang'e, c, on the bottom ofthe vase., so that an annular saucer is thereby formed around the lower pal-toi' the vase. An aperture, d, leads from the interior ot' the vase into this saucer, which thus receives the supertluous water.

I claim as lnv invention- 1. The design for a Vase, .nnamented as shown. 2. The design for a vase, ornainented and provided with a concave base-iang'e, as shown.
