DESIGN FOR A Specification forming part of Desig To all whom, it may concern:
Be it known that I, J osnrn O'ITNER, of New Britain, in the county of Hartford and State ofConneeticut, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Paper-Clip, of which the following is a specification:
The nature of my design is fully represented by the accompanying engraving, to which reference is made.
A represents the clip proper, and B its base. The contour of these parts is composed of straight and curved lines, so joined as to form the various curves and corners, as shown. The

partA is. bordered by a raised ledge, the space inelosed thereby being filled with raised ornamental work of the design shown. The base I is also bordered by a. raised ledge, which is narrower than theledge which borders A, and the surface of l inside the ledge is checked or roughened.
I claim as my invention- Ihe design for a paper-clip, as shown.
