PATENT OFFICE DESIGN FOR A SHOE Application May 22, 1935, Serial No. 56,956
Term of patent 3 /2 years To all whom it may concern.
Be it known that 1, Albert F. Bancroft, a citizen of the United States, residing at Newton, in the county of Middlesex and Commonwealth of Massachusetts, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Shoe, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof, in which Fig. 1 is a view in elevation of a left shoe showing my new design as seen from the outer side of the shoe, the outline of the heel being conventional and shown in dot and dash lines; and
Fig. 2 is a similar view showing the design as seen from the other or inner side of the shoe.
The ornamental efiect of my design is characterized by the dissimilar appearance of the two sides of the shoe, the inside shank side having a seam and merging into a Wide strap having a line of perforation and ornament extending into it, and the other or outer side of the shoe being seamless, having lines of perforation and ornament converging to a large button which is received in the end of the cross strap, the cross strap converging in a pronounced manner to a narrow end.
The ornamental design for a shoe substantially as shown and described.
In witness whereof, I have afiixed my signature hereto.
ALBERT F. BANCROFI.
