The ends of these chambers are joined together to a collector (3) supplying the injector of a turbine (5) which is coupled to an electric generator (6). The other ends of the non-rigid chambers are joined together by a collector (3a) and connected by a return conduit (7) to the turbine casing.
Description
The present invention relates to an arrangement / which makes it possible to use living kinetic energy which would otherwise have been lost.
In my Israeli patent application No. 44 562 an arrangement is described according to which moving automobiles actuate a mechanism which is provided in the surface of the road on which such a vehicle travels and which actuates a power-generating system .
The main idea underlying the construction given in my earlier description is known per se, just as US Patent 4,004,424 is based on this idea. This patent describes a construction consisting of a chamber with bendable wall parts, a cylinder which is connected to this chamber by a line, a piston which slides into this cylinder, and work-providing arrangements which are connected to the piston in Connected, and from means for returning the piston to its initial position, from which it was once moved by the movement of traffic over the chamber. In this arrangement, a motor vehicle passing over the flexible wall parts of the chamber filled with uncompressible liquid causes it Liquid, when it is pressed into the cylinder, to move the piston in the cylinder and to actuate the work-generating device.
Both of the above-mentioned arrangements use mechanical elements which are subject to fatigue and destruction and which are also likely to give rise to failure due to mechanical errors.
In addition, the power generation of a device according to the US patent is rather low, as experts will easily determine, since the greater part of the kinetic energy, which can come from the traffic traveling through the chambers, is lost because the piston is under the Urge of the liquid pressure must overcome the friction factors and the one-sided pressure in the opposite direction of the precaution, in the case of the aforementioned US patent a strong coil spring which returns the piston to the initial position.
With regard to the state of the art and the associated disadvantages associated with it, I have invented an arrangement which serves the same purpose, but which works pneumatically or hydraulically.
According to the invention a pad is provided, which is intended to form "part of the road surface and a plurality of Viel¬ filled with gas or liquid hoses made of flexible material comprises the all long ent the direction of travel of the road and all extend in a functional point of view with their ends are connected to a line which feeds the liquid directly to a turbine housing, and an additional line is provided which leads from the turbine to the other end of the hoses, so that a closed circuit is created in which the Turbine operates a generator that generates electricity. The invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Figur 1 veranschaulicht in schematischer Weise die neuen Mittel.Figure 1 illustrates the new means in a schematic manner.
Figur 2 ist ein Schnitt nach der Linie A-A der Figur 1.Figure 2 is a section on the line A-A of Figure 1.
Figure 3 is a top view of the new means.
If one first turns to FIGS. 1 and 2, one recognizes a carpet-like cushion, which is designated as a whole by 1. It is composed of a large number of hoses 2 made of elastic material such as rubber or plastic, which are connected to transverse channels 3, 3a, which extend at both ends of the hoses 2 and perpendicular to them. From channel 3, a pipe 4 leads directly to the housing of a turbine 5, which is coupled to a power generator 6. A tube 7 leads from the turbine housing to the duct 3a.
In practice, the pillow 5 will be slightly wider than the maximum width of the vehicle to be driven over it, and it should be arranged so that only vehicles moving over it in the same direction to the road above it. So where a street has several lanes, all of which are intended for traffic in one direction, then separate pillows should preferably be accommodated in each lane. Strictly speaking, pillows should be placed in each lane, which provide traffic in different directions.
Die neue Vorrichtung funktioniert wie folgt:The new device works as follows:
Wasser oder Öl) in den Querkanal 3 drücken,Assuming a vehicle V (see FIG. 1) drives onto the cushion 1 and continues in the direction of travel, the hoses 2 are compressed due to the heavy weight of the vehicle, which on the one hand the liquid therein (such as water or oil) into the Press cross channel 3
S ^ üh CfrS ^ üh Cfr
.-
Das aufgebrauchte Wasser wandert in einem geschlossenen Kreise durch Rohr 7 in den Querkanal 3a und von dort zurück in die Schläuche 1..- from where they are conveyed directly into the turbine housing under the pressure of the load of the vehicle in the direction of the tube 4 and set the turbine in motion. The used water travels in a closed circle through pipe 7 into the transverse channel 3a and from there back into the hoses 1.
It can clearly be seen that the flow of liquid from pillow 1 via pipe 7 is unhindered by mechanical elements which consume part of the kinetic energy which is generated by the flowing traffic. The flow of the pressure fluid in the hoses 2 always flows in the direction of the traffic and the wheels of the vehicles press the displaced fluid along the wheels.
A generator 6 is coupled to the turbine and feeds the electricity generated in collection batteries (not shown here).
