A device for providing homogeneity, uniformity and controllability of the electrostatic deposition of liquids or powders on ungrounded substrates in a high-voltage generator. The device comprises a spraying apparatus (13), a cross-shaped counter-electrode (12) having adjustable dimensions which repel the high voltage droplets of the products, an adjustable cross-shaped electrode (4) located underneath the conveyor belt for the pieces to be coated, and vertical walls (3 and 19) made of insulating material and located on either side of the spraying apparatus and above the rotating portion (13) thereof. The electrode and the counter-electrode can be remotely and automatically controlled. The device is designed particularly for the manufacture of electronic components and printed circuits.
