Description

Beschreibung description
SpieieiementGame element
The invention relates to a game element, for example in the form of a play figure or a play block for children. Such game elements are known in particular from plastic in a variety of shapes and configurations. The known game elements have the disadvantage that they are relatively expensive and their purchase, for example in daycare centers, is only possible in limited numbers for financial reasons. A further disadvantage of the known game elements is that their production is energy-intensive and the raw materials required for their production are available only to a limited extent, and that their disposal is not possible or is possible only partially and with great effort and energy consumption.
The invention has for its object to provide such game elements that can be produced cheaply and with little pollution of the environment and disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.
This object is achieved by the features of claim 1. The game element according to the invention is produced by primary shaping or reshaping from a renewable raw material, ie from plants or agricultural raw materials. The game element is environmentally friendly. During production, it has the advantage of low environmental impact and low energy consumption; there are no raw materials that are available to a limited extent. When disposed of, the game element according to the invention has the advantage that it is completely biodegradable, ie does not pollute the environment, it is compostable or completely soluble in water. Another advantage is that the game element according to the health in its use and also in its Ingestion not at risk. Added to this is its inexpensive manufacturability due to the cheap raw material from which the game element is made.
The game element according to the invention is very versatile and therefore particularly creative for children. It can be elastically and / or plastically deformed to a limited extent or changed to a kneadable mass by adding water. For example, it can be cut or machined by hand without tools, and the shape of the game element can be changed in this way. It is also easy to drill through, for example to connect several game elements together by pulling a cord. Several game elements can be joined together using adhesive, the game element can be colored or varnished.
For gluing, dyeing and / or painting, solvent-free, harmless to health and biodegradable adhesives, paints and / or lacquers are used, as are known per se. Painting can achieve a hard, resistant surface and increase the rigidity and strength of the game element. The material properties of the game element, such as strength, elasticity, plasticity, can be influenced in a targeted manner by adding additives, in particular also obtained from renewable raw materials, such as, for example, vegetable fibers. The strength of the game element can also be influenced in a targeted manner by the pressure acting on the raw material during the production of the game element.
The shape of the game element is almost arbitrary. In embodiments of the invention, the game element is modeled on a human being, an animal, a plant or a thing, and fantasy forms are possible. The game element can thus be used as a toy without further processing.
In another embodiment of the invention, the game element is designed as a game module, so that it can be assembled loosely with other game modules or added by adding adhesive. In this way, animal figures or structures can be produced, for example. The The game element according to the invention preferably has a simple, spatial, geometric shape as a game component, that is to say, for example, it is designed as a cuboid or cylinder, possibly also as a plate, from which game figures or game components can be produced by separating machining.
In one embodiment of the invention, the game element has, as the raw material, cereal grains which are ground to a cereal semolina or cereal flour, from which the game element is produced by a shaping process such as casting, extruding, pressing or injection molding in the manner of the production of plastic parts. The grain semolina can be converted into a liquid, viscous, doughy or plasticizable state by adding water or steam.
The game element preferably consists of corn, that is to say it is made from corn kernels ground into corn grits or corn flour. Instead of corn, other cereals such as wheat, rye, barley or rice or other agricultural raw materials such as potato flour or tapioca can also be used.
B. Ethylenglykol, Glycerin,Polyvinyl alcohol, water, baking powder and other degradable additives, such as. B. plasticizers such as water, polyhydric alcohols, e.g. B. ethylene glycol, glycerin,
Mannitol, sorbitol and other polyols and polyglycols or derivatives thereof can be added.
In one embodiment of the invention, the game element is produced by foaming the raw material.
The game element according to the invention is conditioned in order to give it an elasticity / plasticity. This means that the game element is pressurized with steam under pressure immediately after its original or forming, that is to say, for example, immediately after it leaves an extruder, for example in a silo. The conditioning also creates a kind of casing for the play element. In one embodiment of the invention, the game element is not conditioned, but on the contrary becomes brittle. This can be done, for example, by heating and drying the game element. The inherent heat of the game element is often sufficient for drying after it has been shaped or formed. The brittle game element has the advantage that it can be crumbled or ground by hand to flakes or finer to a semolina or flour. This increases the area of use and the creativity-promoting properties of the game element according to the invention. For example, landscapes can be created from the game element that has crumbled into flakes by coating a base, for example made of cardboard, with adhesive and applying the flakes. The flakes adhere to the areas that have been coated with adhesive, otherwise they can be easily removed. Images can also be designed in a corresponding manner, in particular if the flakes or the semolina are colored, it being possible for different areas of the base to be coated in succession with different-colored flakes or different-colored semolina.
Another advantage of the brittle, dry, unconditioned game element is that it can be converted into a plasticine by water absorption, for example by wetting, which can be shaped and cured as desired. This also increases the versatility of the game element according to the invention.
Es zeigen:In one embodiment of the invention, the game element is colored. On the one hand, this has the advantage that the attractiveness of colorful play elements for children is greater and gives more diverse design options. Another advantage is that colorful game elements can be crumbled or grated by hand to flakes or semolina of different colors, which increases the design options. The game element can be colored by adding a colorant to the raw material during the production of the game element. The colorant can be in powder form, for example, liquid or dissolved in oil. The addition of a dry, for example powdery or also a colorant dissolved in oil has the advantage that the water content of the raw material is not increased. The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to exemplary embodiments shown in the drawing. Show it:

Game blocks 10 formed with essentially the shape of elongated cuboids. Surfaces of the game building blocks 10 are somewhat spherical and have a wrinkled structure. The game building blocks 10 are made from corn kernels, which are ground into corn grits and, as is known per se from plastics processing, are formed by injection molding. By applying pressure and introducing water vapor, the maize plasticized during injection molding is foamed. No other gases or blowing agents are required. For plasticization, 10 corn can be added to the corn grits during the production of the toy building blocks, which water also serves as a binder. The building blocks have a limited elasticity and plasticity. Their strength properties can be increased by adding vegetable fibers.
The game module 10 described as an exemplary embodiment of the invention has approximately 79% corn grits, approximately 18% polyvinyl alcohol, approximately 2% water and approximately 1% baking powder as components. Further degradable additives can be added to these components, as a result of which the proportions of the above components are reduced accordingly. Such additives are e.g. B. plasticizers such as water, polyhydric alcohols, e.g. B. ethylene glycol, glycerol, mannitol, sorbitol and other polyols and polyglycols or derivatives thereof. The toy module 10 made from the listed components has a surface roughness that is favorable for gluing. Another advantage is the possibility of an adhesive connection of two game components 10 by moistening, for example, with saliva without the addition of an adhesive. FIG. 2 shows an example of the use of the game building blocks 10, a masonry 12, which is created from loosely stacked game building blocks 10, as shown in FIG. 1. With the game building blocks 10, buildings or towers (not shown) can also be created, for example.
The game elements according to the invention shown in FIG. 3 are designed as game modules 14 with an essentially cylindrical shape with slightly convex surfaces.
The game building blocks 14 can be added to animal figures, for example, as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5. The lizard-like animal figure 16 shown in FIG. 4 is produced by gluing toy building blocks 14. The approximately conically tapering tail 18 and head 20 of the lizard-like animal figure 16 consist of originally cylindrical toy building blocks, which have been plastically formed into a permanent cone shape by radial pressure exerted by hand. Ears 22 are formed by locally tearing in a play module 14, for example with a thumb nail and plastic bending projecting from the play module 14.
Zum Verbinden der Spielbausteine 14 miteinander zu der Spielzeugschlange 24 sind in den Spielbausteinen 14 beispielsweise mittels einer nicht dargestelltenFIG. 5 shows a toy snake 24, which is made from lined up, cylindrical toy building blocks 14, as shown in FIG. 3. A head 26 and a tail 28 are, as described in relation to FIG. 4, formed from cone-shaped, originally cylindrical toy building blocks 14. To connect the game building blocks 14 to one another to form the toy snake 24, the game building blocks 14 are, for example, by means of a not shown
Ballpoint pen refill is provided in the longitudinal direction through holes through which a cord (not visible in the drawing) is threaded, which is connected to the head 26 and the tail 28, for example by gluing. In this way, the building blocks 14, 26, 28 are inseparably and flexibly connected to one another to form the toy snake 24.
As the exemplary embodiments described and illustrated show, the game building blocks 10, 14 can be used in a wide variety of ways. The game building blocks 10, 14 shown in the drawing have a length of approximately 25 mm.
