Abstract

A circuit and method for generating pulse width modulated signal (Fig.2A) from an anolog video signal. The circuit includes a first circuit portion that includes a first switch (20), a voltage storage device (40) that stores a portion of the analog video signal as a voltage value according to the first switch activated according to sample time information within a portion of time of the analog video signal, and a second switch (46) that outputs the stored voltage value when activated according to a next portion of time of the analog video signal. The circuit also includes a second circuit portion (64) that converts the outputted voltage value into a pulse width modulated signal.
