Abstract

A system and method for sending audio signals with high fidelity from a first wireless station (20) to a second wireless station (30) is provided. Said wireless stations may operate using the bluetooth standard. In the first wireless station (20), a first representation of an audio signal is sent directly from an audio input device (52) to a codec (62). A second representation of the audio signal passes a delay device (54) so that arrives at the codec (62) out of phase with the first representation. After sampling and encoding (62), the digital signals are sent to the second wireless station (30) using two different synchronous channels of a wireless link (40). At the second wireless station (30), the received signals from each channel are decoded (62) and analog signals are generated. The audio signal from one of the channels goes through a delay device (56) in order to bring it back into phase with the signal received from the other channel. The analog signals are then provided to an audio output device (58) and can be evaluated by e.g. a voice recognition system.
