Abstract

A method to provide technical information from a marine vessel to a remote location, said information concerning an equipment or system associated with, or installed on, said marine vessel, and a system and interface for carrying out the method. The system includes a computer onboard said marine vessel connected and logged in to a communication means of said marine vessel. A communication session is initiated on said logged in computer, and a technical expert at a remote location is contacted and provided with information from the marine vessel by means of an immediate messaging/conferencing computer software.
