Abstract

The invention relates to improved wood and iron golf clubs. The inventive improved face for a golf-club head is embodied such that is multilayer and provided with cavities. Said face is made of titanium alloy sheets by means of superplastic shaping and pressure welding in the form of a structure which is provided with a covering and a filler forming strengthening ribs. The covering comprises a face for striking a ball and has a variable thickness increasing from the periphery towards the centre thereof. Said improved face for golf-club head can be produced by a method which uses at least three workpieces made of a titanium alloy sheets. One of the workpieces has a variable thickness. Said workpieces are assembled in the form of a packet in such a way that the variable thickness workpiece is external and are welded to each other in predefined areas by means of pressure welding. Afterwards, the cavity between the workpieces is sealed and formed in a die by means of a working medium at a controlled pressure within a heat-rate interval of superplastic deformation as far as a predetermined profile of the filler is formed by at least one internal workpiece, and the coverings are shaped by the external workpieces. Из лисτа τиτанοвοгο сπлава ΒΤ6 (ΤΪ-6Α1-4У) τοлщинοй 0,8 мм и ρазмеροм зеρен 2 мκм были выρезаны τρи πρямοугοльные загοτοвκи, τаκже выρезан κρуг диамеτροм 40 мм и на нем выποлнена φасκа шиρинοй 5 мм.
