Abstract

A system and method are disclosed for compensating for visual effects upon panels having non-standard dot inversion schemes. A display comprises a panel comprising a plurality of subpixels (104). The panel has at least two regions of subpixels having different electro-optical properties (308). The display also comprises separate quantizers (812, 814) for each of the at least two regions of subpixels that can correct for fixed pattern noise.
