Abstract

　本発明の定着装置（２３）は、トナー画像面に接する定着ローラ（１３１）とトナー画像面の反対側の面に接する加圧ローラ（１３２）とを有し、上記定着ローラ（１３１）と加圧ローラ（１３２）とが圧接する定着ニップ部（Ｙ）を、未定着のトナー画像が形成された記録紙（Ｐ）が通過することにより、上記トナー画像を記録紙（Ｐ）に定着する定着装置（２３）であって、加圧ローラ（１３２）の表面温度が、定着ローラ（１３１）の低温オフセット発生境界温度（Ｔｈｃ）および／または定着ローラ（１３１）の高温オフセット発生境界温度（Ｔｈｈ）で規定される温度範囲になるようにヒータランプ（１３４～１３６）を制御する制御回路（１５０）とを備えている。これにより、ローラ対へのトナー移行（記録紙裏面から加圧ローラへの移行、加圧ローラから定着ローラへの移行）現象を低減あるいは防止できる。
